Ville Pitkänen is a senior researcher at E2 Research. He has extensive experience in project management, research in multidisciplinary research groups, and working with influential public figures from a variety of disciplines on large consortium projects.
In recent years, Pitkänen has been designing and conducting several studies related to the values and attitudes of Finns. Pitkänen has solid experience in the design and implementation of quantitative surveys, but he has also made extensive use of qualitative research methods.
Pitkänen's academic background is in political history and political science. Before joining E2 Research, he worked at the Center for Parliamentary Studies at the University of Turku. He is also well-known as an active commentator.
Pitkänen still maintains close contact with his alma mater: he is the chairman of the board of The Turku Finnish University Society and a member of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Turku.
The pace of change in society is fast. It is increasingly important to keep your finger on the pulse of what is happening in the Finnish society and be more aware of the changes. In E2 research, I get to do this in an inspiring work environment with motivated colleagues.
